How long do the flowers take to dry?
We choose to dry the flowers in silica sand for around 2-3 weeks – some flowers may take longer dependent on the blooms within your bouquet. This allows for deeper flowers to dry out completely. I like to air on the side of caution with my drying times to ensure all moisture is removed. Your flowers are then stored safely until they are ready for the mould.

Are the floral blocks poured in layers?
The resin will be poured in multiple layers with 24 hours between in pour; this is to ensure the resin dosent heat up too quickly; this is why the preservations can take so long to complete. Typically the blocks take around 7 days once they go into the mould. The will then move onto the next stage of the process.

I’m in a different county, can I post my flowers?
Absolutely! We accept bouquets from all over the UK. Once you have booked and secured your date, we will email you with the best way to package your bouquet. Postage will need to be special delivery using Royal Mail before 1pm service to ensure your flowers get to me in the best condition. Typically, flowers will be sent on a Monday if you have a Saturday wedding. If you don’t send your flowers quickly enough there is a very high chance they will brown, wilt or fall apart. 24 hour postage won’t be the cheapest option but its definitely the best option.

Does resin yellow over time?
We use a high quality casting resin that contains UV stabilisers to prevent yellowing. However if you keep your piece in a place that has direct sunlight your block will start to yellow over time Therefore please keep your block out of direct sunlight, off windowsills and away from a direct heat source.
Forever In Flower does not hold responsibility for the natural effects of aging in your product as there is no way to know how much UV exposure the items were exposed to while in the client’s possession.

What can I expect from my preservation?
When you look on my Instagram you will see beautifully preserved blocks and whilst that is very true (they are in fact extremely beautiful!) i like to be extremely transparent about the process.
Flowers will dry a slightly different colour. Red’s have a tendency to dry darker, sometimes almost block. If you have red flowers please understand I have no control over the change that will occur.
Once resin touches a flower it can become more pigmented or darker similar to if water splashed onto an item of clothing. Please understand that colour may vary once resin is poured.
Bubbles: Bubbles are always going to be present no matter how hard i try to get rid of them. I do try my best but they will almost always occur. Bubbles are more likely to occur around the sides and top of a block as air is released.
